Scenic Overlook - SR20

We had a brief stop-off here for some skiing on the first snow of the year. There is a good amount of parking, with restrooms that were open in winter (at least in late November…).

The scenic overlook is very nice on a clear day. Unfortunately, we were there on a day when it was snowing so… no pictures for us!

To the north, just past the restrooms, there is a real, marked, skiing trail. It will be marked by these blue diamonds, as are many official cross-country skiing routes.

There are a number of trails up here that don’t appear on Google Maps, but some other websites (like THIS ONE ) show the trail to be the “Omega Overlook MC Trail”, or the ”Omega Nordic Trail”.

The trail was a little difficult to navigate in the heavy snow we were in, but all-in-all we think this is a pretty decent spot if you need somewhere at a lower elevation (~5100ft). Happy Skiing!
